At 728 PM, National Weather Service radar detected a large area of 

showers and thunderstorms generally in far eastern Oklahoma and 

northwest Arkansas and also west of a Bartlesville to Eufaula line. 

The precipitation was heaviest in Creek and Pawnee counties in 

Oklahoma and was more widespread in northcentral Oklahoma. The 

precipitation was in the Tulsa and Bentonville, Rogers and 

Fayetteville areas. Movement was to the northeast at greater than 40 

mph. . Intensity increased during the last hour. The Tulsa area 

forecast for this evening, occasional showers with thunderstorms 

likely with heavy rainfall and temperatures 54 to 61 degrees along 

with northeast winds 5 to 10 mph.
