...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM CDT THIS 

MORNING FOR DALLAS, POLK, NORTHERN MADISON AND NORTHERN WARREN 

COUNTIES...



At 624 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy 

rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have 

fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible in 

the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin 

shortly.



HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.



SOURCE...Radar.



IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,

         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor

         drainage and low-lying areas.



Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...

  Des Moines, West Des Moines, Ankeny, Urbandale, Johnston, Clive, 

  Altoona, Waukee, Norwalk, Pleasant Hill, Grimes, Adel, Windsor 

  Heights, Carlisle, Bondurant, Saylorville, Mitchellville, Dallas 

  Center, Earlham and Granger.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
