...Forecast flooding changed from Minor to Moderate severity and 

increased in duration for the following rivers in Colorado...



  San Juan River at Pagosa Springs affecting Archuleta County.



For the San Juan River...including Bluff, Pagosa Springs...Moderate 

flooding is forecast.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 

deaths occur in vehicles.



Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 

dangers of flooding.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL TOMORROW EVENING...



* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast.



* WHERE...San Juan River at Pagosa Springs.



* WHEN...Until tomorrow evening.



* IMPACTS...At 11.0 feet, water will approach the area around the 

  River Center shopping complex in Pagosa Springs. Inundation of 

  sections of Hermosa Street and low land areas adjacent to the 

  river can be expected. At 12.4 feet, portions of the San Juan 

  River Campground east of Pagosa Springs are beginning to flood.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...

  - At 8:00 AM MDT Monday the stage was 7.5 feet.

  - Bankfull stage is 8.5 feet.

  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage

    this evening to a crest of 11.8 feet tomorrow morning. It

    will then fall below flood stage early tomorrow afternoon.

  - Flood stage is 10.5 feet.
