Warm and dry today. Gusty winds develop tonight, peaking Saturday

through Sunday evening with gusts 45-50 mph along the coast, ridges,

and favored NW-SE oriented valleys and gaps. Late Sunday night and

early Monday morning, there is still a slight signal for brief

offshore winds in the interior North Bay. This will result in lower

recovery and afternoon humidity on Monday leading to elevated fire

weather concerns for the inland North Bay and high elevations, such

as the Mayacamas and areas around Mt. St. Helena. Gusty winds

diminish Monday, giving way to a warm and dry week with temps above

average.

Breezy northwest winds are expected to continue,  with further 

strengthening through the weekend. Potential for very light rain 

or light drizzle returns late Friday night into Saturday for the 

northern portion of the forecast area, especially in Del Norte. 

Chances for a wetting rain have dropped to less than 20% for 

mainly Del Norte. Northwest winds strengthen Saturday through 

Sunday behind the front, and gusts to 35 mph along the coast and 

up to 40 mph in the southern inland areas are forecast. Warmer 

weather will return next week. A couple mostly dry fronts will 

move through next week with little impacts other than some 

enhanced northerly winds.
