Marine layer returns tonight as high pressure weakens. Low clouds

are most likely along the coast and locally inland. Even in areas

without clouds the marine layer will bring  much higher humidity

tonight. Much colder temperatures and higher humidities are expected

on Sunday as a storm system approaches  the region. A cold front

will sweep through Northern California  Sunday night and Monday

bringing a chance of rain. Greatest  likelihood for wetting rains

will be north of the Golden Gate.  There is still a non-zero chance

for thunderstorms Monday into  Tuesday.

Warm temperatures expected through Saturday, with the warmest and

driest day expected today. Winds will be mainly  be light and

terrain driven with some afternoon westerly winds of  10 to 15. Late

Sunday into Monday there is a 30 to 90 percent  chance of a wetting

rain, with the highest probabilities in the  north. Much cooler

temperatures are expected as well. Breezy to  windy south-southwest

winds Sunday evening through Monday, with 20 to 35 mph at low

elevations and 35 to 45 mph at high elevations  from Sunday evening

through Monday evening.
