At 632 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts

were located along a line extending from Split Rock Lighthouse to 13

nm east of Oak Point, moving northeast at 45 knots.



HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts 34 knots or greater, and small 

         hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally 

         hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly 

         higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

Ironwood Island, Basswood Island, Sand Island, Stockton Island,

Madeline Island, Twin Points Safe Harbor, Devils Island, Beaver Bay,

Cat Island, Manitou Island, North Twin Island, Meyers Beach, York

Island, Split Rock Lighthouse, Eagle Island, Apostle Islands National

Lake Shore, La Pointe, Outer Island, Michigan Island, and Rocky

Island.

Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.



Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily
