...A SPECIAL MARINE WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1115 PM EDT...



For the following areas...

  Nearshore and Open Waters from St Joseph to Manistee MI...



At 930 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line

extending from 14 nm northwest of Big Sable Point Light to near

Little Sable Point Light to near Muskegon Light to 9 nm west of

Saugatuck Pier Heads to 8 nm east of Harrison-Dever Crib, moving 

northeast at 48 knots. Harrison-Dever Crib reported wind gusts of 53 

knots.



HAZARD...Wind gusts in excess of 50 knots and large hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Boats could suffer significant structural damage in high 

         winds and hail. Small craft could capsize in suddenly 

         higher waves.



Locations impacted include...

South Haven Light, Saugatuck Pier Heads, St. Joseph Light, White Lake

Pier Heads, Mona Lake Channel, The White Lake Pierheads, Little Sable

Point Light, Grand Haven Light, and Muskegon Light.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 300 AM EDT for southwestern

and west central Michigan...and the adjacent waters of Lake Michigan.



Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.



Frequent lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the

open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded

metal objects.



Report severe weather to the Coast Guard or the National Weather

southwestern portion of Lake Michigan, moving northeast at 45 knots.



HAZARD...Wind gusts in excess of 65 knots and large hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Boats could suffer significant structural damage in high 

         winds and hail. Small craft could capsize in suddenly 

         higher waves.



Locations impacted include...

Calumet Harbor, Marina Shores at Dune Harbor, 59th Street Marina,

Hammond Marina, Indiana Harbor, Jackson Park Harbor, Burns Harbor,

and DuSable Harbor.
