Grand Marais to Whitefish Point MI...

Lake Superior from Grand Marais MI to Whitefish Point MI 5NM off

shore to the US/Canadian border...



At 143 AM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line

extending from 23 nm east of The Eastern Lake Superior Buoy to 30 nm

northeast of Grand Sable Dunes to 13 nm northeast of Muskallonge

State Park, moving east at 15 knots.



HAZARD...Wind gusts 34 knots or greater.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and 

         suddenly higher waves.



Strong thunderstorms will remain over mainly open waters.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
