  Coastal waters from Cape Fear NC to Little River Inlet SC out 20 

  nm...

  Coastal waters from Surf City to Cape Fear NC out 20 nm...

  Waters from Surf City to Cape Fear NC from 20 to 40 nm...



At 1257 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated a shower, capable of

producing winds to around 30 knots. This shower was located near

Sheepshead Rock, moving northeast at 15 knots.



Locations impacted include...

Dredge Wreck, 10 Mile Boxcars, Sheepshead Rock, School House Reef,

and Bald Head Island.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



This storm may produce a waterspout. A Special Marine Warning may be

needed.



Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher 

waves, and heavy downpours. Boaters should seek safe harbor 

immediately until this shower passes. If caught on the open water, 

prepare for deteriorating conditions. Make sure you and your crew 

are wearing properly fitted life jackets.
