BAYSIDE AND GULFSIDE WATERS, WEST-CENTRAL HAWK CHANNEL, AND THE 

CENTRAL STRAITS OF FLORIDA..



The areas affected include...

Hawk Channel and Straits of Florida from Craig Key to Halfmoon Shoal

out 20 nm...

Bay and Gulf Side from Craig Key to Halfmoon Shoal out to 5

fathoms...

Gulf Waters from East Cape Sable to Chokoloskee 20 to 60 nm out and

beyond 5 fathoms...

Straits of Florida from west end of Seven Mile Bridge to south of

Halfmoon Shoal 20 to 60 nm out...



At 424 AM EDT, National Weather Service meteorologists detected a 

strong line of thunderstorms, capable of producing wind gusts near 

30 knots. This line of thunderstorms was located along a line 

extending from 16 nm west of Northwest Cape Sable to 38 nm south of 

Wood's Wall West Crack, moving east at 25 knots.



Locations that will be affected include...

Big Pine Shoal, Annette Key, Howe Key, Big Munson Island, East Sambo,

Raccoon Key, and Little Pine Key.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Prepare for thunderstorms with wind gusts near 30 knots, locally

rough and confused seas, occasional lightning strikes, and

potentially blinding downpours. Get to a safe port as quickly, and as

safely as possible. When downpours reduce visibility, slow down.
