...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS OVER CENTRAL AND EASTERN STRAITS OF 

FLORIDA...



The areas affected include...Straits of Florida from Ocean Reef west 

end of Seven Mile Bridge out 60 nm...



At 852 AM EDT, National Weather Service meteorologists detected a 

strong line of thunderstorms, capable of producing wind gusts near 

30 knots. This line of thunderstorms was located along a line 

extending from 10 nm northeast of Floyd's Wall Northeast to 9 nm 

southeast of East Washerwoman Shoal Light, moving north at 15 knots.



Locations that will be affected include...

409 Humps, South Rips, Rips, Islamorada Hump, Floyd's Wall Northeast,

and Tennessee Reef Light.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Prepare for thunderstorms with wind gusts near 30 knots, locally

rough and confused seas, occasional lightning strikes, and

potentially blinding downpours. Get to a safe port as quickly, and as

safely as possible. When downpours reduce visibility, slow down.
