Coastal waters from Savannah GA to Altamaha Sound GA out 20 nm ...

including Grays Reef National Marine Sanctuary...



At 104 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a 

waterspout and 34 knots or greater wind gusts was located in the 

vicinity of Wassaw Sound Buoy, moving northeast at 10 knots.



HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 35 knots or greater.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally 

         hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly 

         higher winds and suddenly higher waves.
