Survey Summary:

An EF-1 tornado developed just inside Edgecombe County north of

the town of Fountain NC. The tornado traveled north, crossing

route 258 and causing structural damage to a mobile home along

with several snapped trees. It then entered a densely wooded,

inaccessible area and it is unclear if the tornado remained on the

ground continuously, but additional tree damage was found near 

the intersection of Otter Creek Church Rd and Wooten Rd. No 

additional damage was noted downwind of that intersection.

Emergency Services Department for their assistance with the surveys

today.
