Red Flag conditions are developing across portions of the region and are expected to persist for several more hours into early this evening. Relative humidity values are falling into a range from 15 to 25 percent while wind gusts of 25 to 35 mph persist. Hot temperatures are expected for Monday and Tuesday, as well, with highs warming into the upper 80s and 90s. Humidity levels will fall to 15 to 25 percent each day. Southerly winds will gust 35-50+ mph Monday before weakening to about 30 mph on Tuesday. A Red Flag Warning has been issued for the entire forecast area for Sunday, and a Fire Weather Watch has been issued for the entire forecast area for Monday. Due to the duration of the hot, dry, and gusty conditions, additional fire headlines could be needed for Tuesday. However, will continue to monitor this potential over the coming days.
