Windy, hot and dry conditions will persist at least through Tuesday and perhaps into Wednesday for most of central and northeast South Dakota and west central Minnesota. Gusty southerly winds today will range from 30 mph to near 50 mph. With temps climbing back into the 90s this afternoon, minimum relative humidity values will fall into the 15-20 percent range once again. A Red Flag Warning remains in effect for the entire area into this evening. A slow recovery is possible Tuesday, but similar conditions can be expected. More of a recovery will be possible on Wednesday as a storm system moves into the region which will increase moisture levels and there will be a better chance for seeing some shower and thunderstorm activity.
