####018003314#### FNUS63 KABR 131009 RFDABR Rangeland Fire Danger Statement National Weather Service Aberdeen SD 509 AM CDT Tue May 13 2025 .DISCUSSION... Hot and windy conditions will once again develop today across central and northeast South Dakota and west central Minnesota. Minimum afternoon relative humidity values will fall into the 15-20 percent range from the James Valley region eastward into western Minnesota. This will lead to elevated to critical fire weather conditions across our eastern zones which prompted the issuance of a Red Flag Warning from late morning until early evening. A cold front will enter and stall in sections of central South Dakota by this evening, so winds across the Missouri Valley and points west will begin to diminish by tonight. Increasing chances for showers and storms will be possible by late tonight across central and north central South Dakota. A better chance for more widespread precipitation is possible Wednesday into Thursday. South to southwest winds today and tonight will shift to a west to northwest wind direction behind the passing cold front by Wednesday night into early Thursday.
