SUNDAY 11 PM...



*WHAT...Dangerous and especially tricky avalanche conditions exist 

throughout Colorado's mountains during this holiday weekend.



*WHERE...Most of Colorado's high mountainous areas excluding areas 

that are at HIGH (Level 4 of 5) avalanche danger or expected to rise 

to HIGH (Level 4 of 5) this weekend.



*WHEN...In effect Saturday and Sunday



*IMPACTS...Large and dangerous avalanches will be easy to trigger. 

Traveling in backcountry avalanche terrain requires cautious route 

finding to stay safe. Avoid travel across or below slopes with a 

slope angle greater than about 30 degrees.



*PRECAUTION/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...Avoid travel on and under slopes 

steeper than about 30 degrees. You can find more detailed
