The National Weather Service in Miami has issued a



* Special Marine Warning for...

  Central Biscayne Bay...

  Coastal waters from Key Biscayne to Ocean Reef FL out 10 NM...



* Until 700 PM EDT.



* At 625 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing

  waterspouts was located over Black Point, moving northeast at 15

  knots.



  HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts 34 knots or greater.



  SOURCE...Radar.



  IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally 

           hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly 

           higher winds and suddenly higher waves.



* Locations impacted include...

  Black Point, Biscayne Bay, Cape Florida, Coral Gables, and Key

  Biscayne.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.



Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily

overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor

immediately.
