The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids has issued a



* Special Marine Warning for...

  Nearshore and Open Waters from St Joseph to Manistee MI...



* Until 1115 PM EDT.



* At 821 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located in a line along 

  the Wisconsin shoreline, extending from Manitowoc to Milwaukee to 

  Kenosha, moving east at 30 knots.



  HAZARD...Wind gusts in excess of 50 knots and large hail.



  SOURCE...Radar.



  IMPACT...Boats could suffer significant structural damage in high 

           winds and hail. Small craft could capsize in suddenly 

           higher waves.



* Locations impacted include...

  St. Joseph Light, South Haven Light, Saugatuck Pier Heads, Holland 

  Light, Grand Haven Light, Mona Lake Channel, Muskegon Light, White 

  Lake Pier Heads, Little Sable Point Light, Pentwater Pier Heads, 

  Ludington Light, and Big Sable Point Light.

Move to safe harbor until hazardous weather passes.



Frequent lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the

open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
