The National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac has issued a



* Special Marine Warning for...

  Port Sanilac to Port Huron MI...

  St. Clair River...



* Until 200 AM EDT.



* At 1253 AM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line

  extending from 29 nm southeast of Quanicassee to 19 nm northwest of

  New Baltimore to Metro Beach Metropark Marina, moving east at 45

  knots.



  HAZARD...Wind gusts in excess of 50 knots.



  SOURCE...Radar.



  IMPACT...Boats could suffer significant structural damage in high 

           winds. Small craft could capsize in suddenly higher 

           waves.



* Severe thunderstorms will be near...

  New Baltimore and Algonac around 100 AM EDT.

  St. Clair around 110 AM EDT.

  Lakeport and Port Huron around 120 AM EDT.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 500 AM EDT for southeastern

Michigan...the adjacent waters of Lake Huron...and the adjacent

waters of Lake St. Clair.
