The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued a



* Special Marine Warning for...

  Lake Erie from Ripley to Buffalo...



* Until 615 AM EDT.



* At 416 AM EDT, strong thunderstorms were located 11 nm west of 

  Ripley, or 12 nm north of Erie, moving northeast at 40 knots. 

  Additional strong thunderstorms will track across Lake Erie 

  through the duration of this warning.



  HAZARD...Wind gusts to 40 knots and small hail.



  SOURCE...Radar.



  IMPACT...Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and 

           suddenly higher waves.



* Locations impacted include...

  Van Buren Point, Small Boat Harbor, Lake Erie Beach, Barcelona,

  Woodlawn Beach, Erie Basin Marina, Sturgeon Point, Ripley, Wanakah,

  Dunkirk, Athol Springs, Bayview, and Sunset Bay.
