* Special Marine Warning for...

  James River from James River Bridge to Hampton Roads

  Bridge-Tunnel...

  James River from Jamestown to the James River Bridge...



* Until 800 PM EDT.



* At 601 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line

  extending from 27 nm west of Cobham Bay to 55 nm west of Burwell

  Bay, moving east at 45 knots.



  HAZARD...Wind gusts in excess of 50 knots and large hail.



  SOURCE...Radar.



  IMPACT...Boats could suffer significant structural damage in high 

           winds and hail. Small craft could capsize in suddenly 

           higher waves.



* Locations impacted include...

  Hampton River Inlet, James River Bridge, Hampton Flats, Monitor

  Merrimack Bridge Tunnel, Sewells Point, Burwell Bay, Dominion Pier,

  and Cobham Bay.
