...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN OTERO...

NORTHEASTERN LAS ANIMAS AND SOUTHWESTERN BENT COUNTIES THROUGH 415 PM

MDT...



At 346 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 17

miles east of Thatcher, or 32 miles south of La Junta, moving

northeast at 30 mph.



HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and penny size hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 

         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 

         possible.



This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of southeastern Otero,

northeastern Las Animas and southwestern Bent Counties.
