NORTHWESTERN MONTGOMERY AND WESTERN CLAY COUNTIES THROUGH 345 AM

CDT...



At 302 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near

Gore Springs, or 13 miles east of Grenada, moving east at 55 mph.



HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 

         unsecured objects.



This strong thunderstorm will be near...

  Misterton around 305 AM CDT.

  Bellefontaine and Embry around 315 AM CDT.

  Mantee and Clarkson around 325 AM CDT.

  Cumberland around 330 AM CDT.

  Montpelier around 335 AM CDT.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 



High winds can bring down trees and large limbs resulting in serious

injury or property damage. Exercise extreme caution when outdoors

during such strong winds...and be especially aware of older trees.



A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 AM CDT for

central, north central and northeastern Mississippi.
