...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTH CENTRAL LEE...EAST CENTRAL

MACON AND RUSSELL COUNTIES THROUGH 1015 AM CDT...



At 853 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near

Uchee, or 8 miles north of Hurtsboro, moving east at 30 mph.



HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 

         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 

         possible.



Locations impacted include...

Warriorstand, Russell County Sports Complex, Uchee, Seale, Creek

Stand, Hatchechubbe, Uchee Creek, Society Hill, Fort Mitchell,

Marvyn, Fort Mitchell Activity Center, Phenix Drag Strip, and

Parkmanville.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. 



Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to

localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded

roadways.



Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.

Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe

shelter inside a building or vehicle.



This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio

stations and available television stations for additional information

and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
