PERSON...NORTHWESTERN ORANGE...DAVIDSON...NORTHERN RANDOLPH AND

GUILFORD COUNTIES THROUGH 530 AM EDT...



At 437 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms and 

strong winds ahead of the storms along a line extending from near 

Dry Fork to East Bend. Movement was southeast at 45 mph.



HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 

         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is 

         possible.



Locations impacted include...

Greensboro, Winston-Salem, High Point, Burlington, Asheboro,

Lexington, Graham, Randleman, Thomasville, and Kernersville.

Strong winds may occur well ahead of any rain or lightning. Do not

wait for the sound of thunder before taking cover. SEEK SHELTER

IMMEDIATELY inside a sturdy structure and stay away from windows.
