The National Weather Service in Charleston West Virginia has issued a



* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...

  Northeastern Buchanan County in southwestern Virginia...

  McDowell County in southern West Virginia...



* Until 215 PM EDT.



* At 147 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Jewell Ridge,

  or 12 miles north of Richlands, moving east at 50 mph.



  HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.



  SOURCE...Radar indicated.



  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable 

           tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, 

           roofs, and outbuildings.



* Locations impacted include...

  Welch, Gary, War, Northfork, Bradshaw, Keystone, Anawalt, Kimball,

  Jolo, Oakwood, Stacy, Maybeury, Elbert, Coalwood, Avondale,

  Cucumber, Jenkinjones, and Vansant.

building.
