  Rutherford County in western North Carolina...

  Northeastern Henderson County in western North Carolina...

  Northern Polk County in western North Carolina...



* Until 615 AM EDT.



* At 527 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 9 miles east of

  Hendersonville, or 5 miles south of Bat Cave, moving east at 55

  mph.



  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.



  SOURCE...Radar indicated.



  IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind 

           damage to trees and power lines.



* Locations impacted include...

  Green Hill, Thermal City, Chimney Rock State Park, Edneyville,

  Henrietta, Bat Cave, Sunshine, Lake Adger, Union Mills, and Shingle

  Hollow.
