AND NORTHEASTERN MONROE COUNTIES...



The storm which prompted the warning has moved out of the area.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 400 AM EDT 

Saturday for a portion of east central Ohio.

...SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 115 AM EDT 

FOR GREENE, SOUTHWESTERN WASHINGTON, NORTHWESTERN MARION, MARSHALL, 

NORTHWESTERN MONONGALIA AND NORTHEASTERN WETZEL COUNTIES...



At 1250 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 5 miles north of 

Hundred, or 17 miles north of Mannington, moving east at 50 mph.



HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable

         tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,

         roofs, and outbuildings.



Locations impacted include...

  Moundsville, Bellaire, Waynesburg, Shadyside, McMechen, Powhatan 

  Point, Glen Dale, Jefferson Boro, Cameron, Granville, Fairview, 

  Hundred, Cassville, Benwood, Rogersville, West Finley, Grant Town, 

  Marianna, Aleppo and Blacksville.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Anyone outdoors should move to shelter inside a well-built structure 

and stay away from windows. This storm is capable of producing 

widespread damaging winds and large hail.



Continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. 

Lightning is one of nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can 

hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning.
