...A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 530 AM EDT FOR CENTRAL

TRANSYLVANIA...WEST CENTRAL HENDERSON...EAST CENTRAL JACKSON AND

SOUTHEASTERN HAYWOOD COUNTIES...



At 449 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado

was located 10 miles south of Waynesville, or near B.R.

Parkway-Balsam Gap To Black Balsam Area, moving east at 35 mph.



HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.



IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 

         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage 

         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is 

         likely.



This dangerous storm will be near...

  Black Balsam Area and B.R. Parkway-Balsam Gap To Black Balsam Area 

  around 450 AM EDT.

  Graveyard Fields around 500 AM EDT.

  Looking Glass around 510 AM EDT.



Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Balsam

Grove, Cruso, and Sunburst.

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest

floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a

mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
