FOR SOUTHEASTERN RUTHERFORD...SOUTHEASTERN POLK...NORTHERN

SPARTANBURG AND NORTHWESTERN CHEROKEE COUNTIES...



At 637 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 12 miles northwest

of Spartanburg, or near Lake Bowen, moving east at 40 mph.



HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind 

         damage to trees and power lines.



Locations impacted include...

Cliffside, Cowpens National Battlefield, Lake Bowen, Chesnee, Harris,

Spartanburg, Inman, Mayo, USC Upstate, and Green Creek.
