GALE WARNING

Please be aware, wind gusts can be a further 40 percent stronger than the
averages given here, and maximum waves may be up to twice the height.

SITUATION
At 1200 UTC a Tropical Low was centred within 30 nautical miles of
 latitude seventeen decimal eight south (17.8S)
 longitude one hundred and three decimal two east (103.2E)
Recent movement : south at 5 knots
Maximum winds   : 35 knots
Central pressure: 1002 hPa
The low is weakening, but gales are expected to continue in the southern
quadrants for the next 6 hours.

AREA AFFECTED
Within 110 nautical miles in SE quadrant
  and within 70 nautical miles in SW quadrant until 1800 UTC 10 January

FORECAST
Maximum winds to 35 knots in southern quadrants.

Winds above 34 knots within 110 nautical miles in SE quadrant
  and within 70 nautical miles in SW quadrant, with rough seas and moderate
swell. Winds easing below 34 knots by 1800 UTC 10 January.

                        Central pressure 1003 hPa.
