SITUATION At 1800 UTC a Tropical Low was centred within 20 nautical miles of latitude seventeen decimal five south (17.5S) longitude one hundred and three decimal three east (103.3E) Recent movement : slow moving Maximum winds : 35 knots Central pressure: 1002 hPa The low is weakening, but gales are expected to continue in the southern quadrants for the next 6 hours. AREA AFFECTED Within 110 nautical miles in SE quadrant and within 80 nautical miles in SW quadrant until 0000 UTC 11 January FORECAST Maximum winds to 35 knots in southern quadrants. Winds above 34 knots within 110 nautical miles in SE quadrant and within 80 nautical miles in SW quadrant, with rough seas and moderate swell. Winds easing below 34 knots by 0000 UTC 11 January.
