SITUATION At 0600 UTC Severe Tropical Cyclone Sean was centred within 20 nautical miles of latitude twenty four decimal nine south (24.9S) longitude one hundred and eight decimal seven east (108.7E) Recent movement : south southwest at 10 knots Maximum winds : 65 knots Central pressure: 968 hPa AREA AFFECTED Within 220 nautical miles in NE quadrant and within 150 nautical miles in SE quadrant and within 150 nautical miles in SW quadrant and within 120 nautical miles in NW quadrant. FORECAST Maximum winds to 65 knots in SE quadrant easing to 40 knots by 0600 UTC 22 January. Winds above 48 knots within 70 nautical miles in NE quadrant and within 70 nautical miles in SE quadrant and within 60 nautical miles in SW quadrant and within 50 nautical miles in NW quadrant with very rough to high seas and heavy swell.
