SITUATION At 0000 UTC a Tropical Low was centred within 30 nautical miles of latitude fourteen decimal four south (14.4S) longitude one hundred and seventeen decimal seven east (117.7E) Recent movement : west southwest at 8 knots Maximum winds : 35 knots Central pressure: 993 hPa The low is expected to develop into a tropical cyclone in the next 12 hours. AREA AFFECTED Within 90 nautical miles of the centre. FORECAST Maximum winds to 35 knots near the centre increasing to 60 knots by 0000 UTC 03 February. Winds above 48 knots within 40 nautical miles of centre from 1800 UTC 03 February with very rough seas and heavy swell. Winds above 34 knots within 75 nautical miles in NE quadrant from 1200 UTC 02 February and within 75 nautical miles in SE quadrant from 1200 UTC 02 February and within 90 nautical miles in SW quadrant and within 90 nautical miles in NW quadrant with very rough seas and moderate swell.
