SITUATION At 1800 UTC a Tropical Low was centred within 30 nautical miles of latitude ten decimal four south (10.4S) longitude one hundred and twenty eight decimal three east (128.3E) Recent movement : southwest at 9 knots Maximum winds : 35 knots Central pressure: 1004 hPa The low is expected to develop into a tropical cyclone in the next 24 hours. AREA AFFECTED Within 40 nautical miles of the centre. FORECAST Maximum winds to 35 knots in SW quadrant increasing to 40 knots by 1800 UTC 12 April. Winds increasing to above 34 knots within 40 nautical miles in SE quadrant from 0000 UTC 12 April, and Winds increasing to above 34 knots within 40 nautical miles in NE quadrant from 0600 UTC 12 April. Winds above 34 knots within 40 nautical miles of centre from 1200 UTC 12 April, with very rough seas and moderate swell.
