Cancellation of GALE WARNING FOR NORTHERN AREA SITUATION At 1800 UTC a Tropical Low was centred within 30 nautical miles of latitude twelve decimal zero south (12.0S) longitude one hundred and forty decimal eight east (140.8E) Recent movement : east southeast at 6 knots, expected to turn towards the west in next 12 hours. Maximum winds : 25 knots Central pressure: 1003 hPa AREA AFFECTED Within 40 nautical miles of the centre in the southern quadrants. FORECAST Maximum winds to 25 knots near the centre increasing to 35 knots by 1800 UTC 19 April. Winds above 34 knots within 40 nautical miles of centre in southern quadrants from 1800 UTC 19 April with very rough seas and moderate swell.
