GALE WARNING FOR NORTHERN AREA SITUATION At 0600 UTC a Tropical Low was centred within 15 nautical miles of latitude twelve decimal six south (12.6S) longitude one hundred and forty one decimal two east (141.2E) Recent movement : south southeast at 4 knots, expected to turn towards the west in next 12 hours. Maximum winds : 30 knots Central pressure: 1002 hPa AREA AFFECTED Within 50 nautical miles of the centre in the southern quadrants. FORECAST Maximum winds to 30 knots near the centre increasing to 40 knots by 0600 UTC 20 April. Winds above 34 knots within 50 nautical miles of centre in southern quadrants from 1800 UTC 19 April with very rough seas and moderate swell.
