GALE WARNING FOR NORTHERN AREA

SITUATION
At 1200 UTC a Tropical Low was centred within 20 nautical miles of
 latitude twelve decimal seven south (12.7S)
 longitude one hundred and forty decimal six east (140.6E)
Recent movement : southwest at 3 knots
Maximum winds   : 30 knots
Central pressure: 1006 hPa

AREA AFFECTED
Within 50 nautical miles of the centre in the southern quadrants.

FORECAST
Maximum winds to 30 knots near the centre increasing to 35 knots by 1800 UTC 20
April.

Winds above 34 knots within 50 nautical miles of centre in southern quadrants
from 1800 UTC 20 April with very rough seas and moderate swell.

At 0000 UTC 21 April: Within 40 nautical miles of 12.3 south 138.7 east
                        Central pressure 998 hPa.
                        Winds to 40 knots near centre.
At 1200 UTC 21 April: Within 55 nautical miles of 11.6 south 136.6 east
