This trough is forecast to move west or west-northwest with little change of intensity through Saturday. The northern fringe could just clip Guam overnight tonight. Another trade-wind trough stretches from EQ160E to 7N159E. Scattered showers and a few thunderstorms are affecting southern Chuuk State and Pohnpei State. This trough is expected to move gradually westward with little change of intensity. UPPER-LEVEL TROUGH... An upper-level trough arches from 12N164E to 25N175E to 25N180. Widely scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms are noted east of Wake Island and well north of Majuro. OTHER SYSTEMS... Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms are mushrooming along and north of this boundary to beyond 25N, which is well north of both Koror Palau and Yap Island.
