...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM MDT WEDNESDAY...



* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations 10 to 20 

  inches, heaviest amounts on the crest and eastern slopes of the 

  Front Range. Much lighter snow of zero to 2 inches from the 

  valleys of Summit County to Vail Pass.



* WHERE...Rocky Mountain National Park and the Medicine Bow Range, 

  and the mountains of eastern Summit County, the Mosquito Range, 

  and the Indian Peaks.



* WHEN...Until 6 AM MDT Wednesday.



* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult by late this afternoon 

  and evening, including I-70 east of the Eisenhower Tunnel, the 

  Peak to Peak Highway, US40 over Berthoud Pass, and Highway 14 over 

  and east of Cameron Pass. The hazardous conditions will impact the 

  late Tuesday morning and Tuesday evening commutes.

* WHAT...Wet snow expected. Total snow accumulations up to 10 

  inches, mainly above 8,000 feet. Lighter snow amounts possible 

  down to 7,000 feet.



* WHERE...The Northern Front Range Foothills, and The Southern Front 

  Range Foothills.



* WHEN...From noon today to 6 AM MDT Wednesday.



* IMPACTS...Travel could be hazardous due to heavy, wet snow and 

  slush, especially this afternoon and evening.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow levels may vary considerably across the 

  foothills. The heaviest snow will fall above 8,000 feet but could 

  accumulate as low as 7,000 feet by this evening.
