.NOW...
Through 800 pm, numerous showers with scattered embedded
thunderstorms will be concentrated over the near through offshore
waters surrounding the Upper Keys, and move northeastward at 15 mph.
The stronger activity over the Florida Straits will produce wind
gusts near 35 mph, occasional lightning strikes, and blinding
downpours. A few of these cells will track across the Upper Keys,
delivering an additional three quarters to one and three quarters of
an inch of rain. Elsewhere, clusters of showers and thunderstorms
will move into the deep gulf waters west of Chokoloskee, as well as,
the Florida Straits 10 to 30 nm southwest of the Dry Tortugas.
