.NOW...Skies were cloudy across the region this morning and light
snow was falling in many areas. The exception was in the Hebron
area where temperatures were still warm enough for rain. It was
cold and windy with north winds of 20 to 25 mph with gusts between
30 and 40 mph.

At 800 AM CDT...Weather Service radar showed a large area of
mainly snow across south central Nebraska and north central
Kansas...along and north of highway 36. Movement was to the
northeast at 45 mph.

Light snow will continue to fall through 10 AM...but snow will
diminish from Lexington to Ord...and light rain in and around
Hebron will change to snow. Over north central Kansas...snow will
expand and begin falling across Rooks...Osborne...and Mitchell
counties. Temperatures will hold steady or fall into the lower
30s. North winds will remain at 20 to 25 mph...with gusts of 30 to
35 mph at times.
