the following rivers or creeks:  Grand River at Jackson...Ionia...
Lowell...Grand Rapids...Looking Glass River at Eagle...Maple River at
Maple Rapids...Kalamazoo River at New Richmond...Portage River at 
Vicksburg...St. Joseph River at Burlington...Muskegon River at 
Evart...Newaygo...Bridgeton...


.The rivers around West Michigan experienced widespread flooding
after the heavy rains of the last week in our area. Most rivers have
now crested and are beginning to slowly fall.
                                                                                                            
For the Grand River at Jackson...the latest stage was 13.2 feet at 9 
AM Wednesday. No significant flooding is forecast. The river stage 
has changed -0.3 feet in the past 24 hours. Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
At 13.0 feet...River is bankfull. River begins to flow into low lying
areas.  

For the Grand River at Ionia...the latest stage was 17.4 feet at 10 
AM Wednesday. No significant flooding is forecast. The river stage 
has changed -0.6 feet in the past 24 hours. Flood stage is 21.0 feet.


For the Grand River at Lowell...no observed stage was available. No 
significant flooding is forecast. The maximum stage forecasted is 
11.1 feet this afternoon. Flood stage is 15.0 feet.  

For the Grand River at Grand Rapids...the latest stage was 13.9 feet 
at 9 AM Wednesday. No significant flooding is forecast. The river 
stage has changed -1.6 feet in the past 24 hours. Flood stage is 18.0
feet. 

For the Looking Glass River Near Eagle...the latest stage was 6.1 
feet at 10 AM Wednesday. No significant flooding is forecast. The 
river stage has changed -0.1 feet in the past 24 hours. Flood stage 
is 7.0 feet. At 6.0 feet...Expect minor flooding of low lying wooded 
areas.  

For the Maple River at Maple Rapids...the latest stage was 8.4 feet 
at 9 AM Wednesday. No significant flooding is forecast. The river 
stage has changed -0.3 feet in the past 24 hours. Flood stage is 9.0 
feet. At 9.0 feet...Expect minor flooding of County Line Road and a 
home along County Line Road.  

For the Kalamazoo River Near New Richmond...the latest stage was 15.2
feet at 9 AM Wednesday. No significant flooding is forecast. The 
river stage has changed -0.4 feet in the past 24 hours. Flood stage 
is 17.0 feet. At 15.0 feet...River is bankfull and begins to spill 
over into large swampy areas along the river. Boardwalk along the 
river would become flooded.  

For the Portage River near Vicksburg...the latest stage was 5.3 feet 
at 7 AM Tuesday. No significant flooding is forecast. The river stage
has changed M feet in the past 24 hours. Flood stage is 5.5 feet. At 
5.5 feet...Minor basement flooding begins at the first house near the
gage.  

For the St Joseph River At Burlington...the latest stage was 6.0 feet
at 9 AM Wednesday. No significant flooding is forecast. The river 
stage has changed -0.3 feet in the past 24 hours. Flood stage is 6.5 
feet. At 6.0 feet...River is bankfull, minor overflow into low lying 
wooded areas along the river begins.  

For the Muskegon River At Evart...the latest stage was 10.0 feet at 9
AM Wednesday. No significant flooding is forecast. The river stage 
has changed M feet in the past 24 hours. Flood stage is 12.0 feet. At
10.0 feet...River is bankfull.  

For the Muskegon River at Newaygo...the latest stage was 10.3 feet at
10 AM Wednesday. No significant flooding is forecast. The river stage
has changed 0.0 feet in the past 24 hours. Flood stage is 11.0 feet. 
At 10.0 feet...River is bankfull.  River begins to exceed its banks 
and minor flooding begins in low lying areas along the river.  

For the Muskegon River at Bridgeton...the latest stage was 12.1 feet 
at 9 AM Wednesday. No significant flooding is forecast. The river 
stage has changed -0.0 feet in the past 24 hours. Flood stage is 13.0
feet. At 12.0 feet...The river is bankfull.
