Light winds currently observed at the station is forecast to gradually increase tonight to 10 to 15 mph as trade winds to the south extend over the territory. This southeast wind is anticipated to persist throughout the new week, intensifying to breezy conditions on Sunday as another high pressure system builds to the south. Meanwhile, a trough to the north will descend towards the Islands on Monday. This feature will create a strong pressure gradient with the high pressure system to the south. As a result, active weather (strong winds and flash flooding conditions) is possible through the end of the forecast period. However, our confidence is low for forecasts greater than 3 days. Will continue to monitor later trends and keep the public informed if active weather is still expected for this duration. && .Marine...
