High pressure around 30.4 inches will move east of the region tonight, with low pressure around 29.6 inches shifting northeast into northeast Illinois. Steady easterly winds will persist through tonight. The low will move through southern Lower Michigan Thursday and northeast of there Thursday night. Winds will shift to the northeast over northern portions of the lake, with south to southwest winds to the south. Winds will become north to northwest Thursday night across the entire lake. Another weak low pressure system around 29.6 inches will move east across the region on Friday, along with a cold front. Winds will become northwesterly Friday behind the front. High pressure around 30.1 inches will then return to the Upper Great Lakes for the weekend, bringing quiet weather and light winds.
