Total precipitation through Monday is expected to be between 3 to 6 inches across the area, with the heaviest rainfall amounts expected along the southern side of the western Brooks Range. IMPACTS: Expect rapid rises and flooding along smaller rivers and streams draining the western Brooks Range through the weekend. Heavy rainfall will also cause the Kobuk River to rise through next week, with the river potentially reaching flood stage by early next week. $$
