Smoke from Canadian wildfires remains over the region through
Friday. Visibility may be reduced at times as the smoke reaches the 
surface. An unsettled, active pattern will keep showers and 
thunderstorms in the forecast through the weekend. Some of these may 
contain heavy rain this afternoon through Friday for areas along and 
east of the Sisseton Hills with additional rainfall amounts of one to
two inches possible. There is a slight risk, level 2 out of 5, for 
severe thunderstorms over portions of south central South Dakota 
through this evening with a marginal risk, level 1 out of 5, for 
severe thunderstorms along and south of a line from Eagle Butte to 
Milbank.

Lows will range in the 50s tonight with highs for Friday ranging in 
the lower 60s over northern SD, to around 80 in south central South 
Dakota.
