...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1215 AM CDT TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is 
  expected.

* WHERE...In Minnesota, Cook County.

* WHEN...Until 1215 AM CDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. 
  Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 615 PM CDT Monday, the public reported heavy rain in the
    advisory area due to thunderstorms and minor flooding of low
    water crossing. This is causing small stream flooding.
    Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Gunflint Lake, Sea Gull Lake, Saganaga Lake, Alpine Lake,
    Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness North of the Gunflint
    Trail, Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, Winchell Lake,
    Long Island Lake, North Lake, Brule Lake, Poplar Lake,
    Cherokee Lake, Gneis Lake, Daniels Lake, Wine Lake, Bearskin
    Lake, Clearwater Lake, Watab Lake and Pine Lake.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
