GALE WARNING FOR SOUTHERN AREA

SITUATION AT 1200UTC
Vigorous flow associated with a trough near 59S142E 62S161E. Forecast near
54S152E 61S169E at 211800UTC then east of area with southwesterly flow
remaining.

AREA AFFECTED
Bounded by 64S134E 53S149E 51S160E 64S160E 64S134E.

FORECAST
Westerly quarter winds 34/45 knots, initially throughout the affected area
northeast of trough shifting southwesterly quarter southwest of trough. Winds
easing below 34 knots west of line 51S159E 65S142E by 220000UTC and then west
of line 55S160E 64S149E by 221200UTC. Very rough to high seas. Moderate to
heavy swell.
